Artist Robert Taylor Returns to The Gallery
Renowned Aviation Artist Robert Taylor and P-51 Ace C. E. "Bud" Anderson will be at a special show at Tamsen Munger Gallery on Friday June 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday June 14th from 10 am to 2 pm.
Robert Taylor of Bath England, is in the United States by invitation of the United States Air Force Museum at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio for a one man show in early June. He will be visiting three galleries while here in the States, and Tamsen Munger Gallery's show is the only two day event.
Tamsen Munger has commissioned Robert Taylor to sketch a limited edition pencil sketch of Bud Anderson's World War II fighter, "Old
Crow" and Bud and Robert will sign the print. The edition size is 200 and prints will be available for purchase during the show.
Col. Anderson went to England with the 357th Fighter Group in 1943. He quickly showed he was a natural pilot flying the P-51 Mustang. By War's end he had flown 116 combat missions and was credited with 16 air victories.
After the War he became a leading fighter test pilot and has flown more than 120 aircraft types. He served in Korea and commanded
the 355th Fighter Wing.
Robert will be autographing his books and prints while at the Gallery. An exhibition of original pencil sketches will be on display during the event and limited edition prints, some quite rare will be available for purchase.
