A Tribute to Jimmy Doolittle 2004

On Saturday April 17th 2004, we will be hosting a tribute to Jimmy Doolittle here at Tamsen Munger Fine Gifts. We will be featuring Robert Taylor's new print "Doolittle's D-Day" and will also have featured "The Hornets Nest" by John D. Shaw and "Compass Heading 270", also by Robert Taylor.

These hard-to-find prints are often long since sold-out at other galleries, but we still have limited stock on hand.

Of great interest to our visitors will be our special guests: From 10 am until 3 pm we will be joined by

Bill Mitchell
Bill flew photo reconaissance in a P-38 over the Normandy beaches on D-Day.

Robert Lott Hartzell
Robert flew as co-pilot for FDR and Secretary of War Henry Stimson. Stimson recommended him for a then-secret mission: fly twenty-one of the Doolittle men out of China after the raid. As part of the Flying Tigers, he flew supply missions for Claire Chennault, who flew along as his co-pilot on many missions.

Stop by, look around and chat with these two interesting and colorful characters.
